Every year on this date I try to find a photo that captures America in a nuthsell. Last year it was this one; the year before, this one. But they both pale in comparison to this year’s photo (which, to give credit where it’s due, I first saw last month on another site). I mean, the rest of us may as well just throw our cameras away, am I right?
Still, it’s a pretty swell place, warts and all. So turn off the computer today and go do something fun and/or patriotic. Me, I’ll be cooking in the back yard, as usual. Hope your day is as much fun as I expect mine to be. In your face, Redcoats! — Paul
